“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island. ” –Walt Disney
It all started with co-authoring the Parents’ Choice Award winning book, The Field Guide to Parenting ( 2000). Since then, I have been reviewing children’s books and books about children for this or that publication and on The Field Guide to Parenting web site. But just reading and writing wasn’t enough, so I developed several workshops so I could talk about my passion, too. My goal for the past ten years is simple: to inspire people to pick up a good book and read to the children in their lives. If you find some treasure here and share it with a child, my work here is complete.
Thanks, Shelley
